As Senior Research Analyst, Ms. Yost directs the research program. With over 3 decades on Wall Street and coverage of all the major health care sectors, Ms. Yost brings a unique, broad perspective to research. Her experience includes that of a buy-side and a sell-side analyst, as well as portfolio management and venture capital investment.
In the course of her analytical career she has researched all areas of health care products and services, including medical technology, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Ms. Yost was particularly successful at identifying major trends in the health care industry and analyzing the investment impact of these changes on specific sub-sectors and companies.
Prior to co-founding THE SAGE GROUP Ms. Yost managed her personal investments. Previously she worked as a money manager, with Atlanta-based Builder Investment Group (1996-1999). At Builder Ms. Yost utilized the Baseline database to develop industry screening and valuation models, portfolio monitoring and analysis tools and market performance reports.
In 1985 and 1986 Ms. Yost was chosen for the Institutional Investor Research Team in the hospital supply industry.
Montgomery Securities in San Francisco, EF Hutton in New York and San Francisco and Interstate Johnson Lane in Atlanta employed Ms. Yost as a sell-side analyst (1984-1993). During this time she specialized in the hospital supply, medical technology, diversified pharmaceutical and distribution industries.
The buy-side analytical experience in San Francisco (1970-1984) included three bank-affiliated investment management organizations.
Ms. Yost received an MBA in Finance from UC Berkeley in 1970. She graduated from UC Berkeley with Distinction in General Scholarship, earning an AB in both Economics and Geography. Other undergraduate academic achievements included the Departmental Citation in Geography, Honor Society and Honors at Entrance.
For the past four years Ms. Yost has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Vascular Disease Foundation (VDF). She has recently been elected Treasurer.
